The Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee
and the TNBA have so many people to thank for
this year’s wildly successful Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s
Day Parade. We were so thrilled to gather once again
to celebrate this wonderful event and to see so many of
you there!
Thank you to Grand Marshals Sheila Haney and Jack
McCarrick who were finally able to lead the Parade!
Their patience and support these past two years are
much appreciated.
Thank you to the families of the 2020 and 2022 Honorary
Grand Marshals who allowed us to recognize their loved
ones for their accomplishments and contributions to the
Bronx.
Thank you to Rev. Nikolin Pergjini for all of your support,
and to St. Benedict’s Church, Parish, choir and ushers
for hosting us, and starting our day with a beautiful
Mass.
Thank you to Jim and Jackie McQuade and the Schuyler
Hill Funeral Home for underwriting the cost of the breakfast
and for providing the stunning horse and carriage to
carry our Honorees. The McQuade Family’s support of
the Parade is so amazing, year after year. Thank you for
all you do to support the TNBA, the Parade Committee
and Throggs Neck!
Thank you to the Marina del Rey who prepared the
breakfast and coffee gratis, especially Danny Savino and
Tom Cornish.
It takes a lot of help to buy and transport the supplies,
put up and take down the beautiful flags that line the
Avenue, build the stage for the Honorees and hang the
sponsorship banners. We are so grateful to everyone
who pitched in, especially Dan O’Connor, Joe Donovan,
Pat Crorkin, John Kirrane, James Carroll, Leo Kibler,
Mike Gallagher, Pat Gallagher, Fran Donnelly Sr. and
Fran Donnelly Jr., Brian Phillips, Aidan O’Brien and
friends, John Tyrell, Frank Carpenter, Kevin Walsh, Ray
McCann Jr., and everyone else who joined those teams
to help.
Thank you to our very talented friend and artist, Michelle
Flanagan, who made the lovely artwork for the cover of
our commemorative Journal book.
Thank you to the wonderful volunteers who once again
served breakfast to hundreds after Mass. We’d be lost
without them! Thanks to Dan O’Connor, John Marano,
Eileen Albin, Donna Callahan, Carol Cooper, Liz Donnelly,
Geri Giannini, Brendan Golden, Colleen Lewis,
Jamie McKillop, Marge Tobin, Andy and Chris O’Connor,
Chris Crowe, Andrew Marano, Kris Mussachio and Joe
Peloso, Jr.
Thank you to the sponsors, the elected officials, the
families and friends of the Honorees, the past Grand
Marshals and Honoree families, the bands, schools, organizations,
businesses and other marchers, all of whom
made the Parade so grand! We appreciate your faith and
support!
Thank you to Laurie Galioto, the Line of March Chairman,
who helped guide the marchers, and for his tireless
work on the journal and other important endeavors.
Thank you to Captain Isaac Soberal, Commander of the
45th Precinct, the officers of the 45th Precinct and all
other precincts of the NYPD for their hard work during the
Parade to make sure everyone was safe. We also want to
thank 45th Precinct Community Affairs Officers Souhrada
and Sanchez for all their help.
Thank you to Lieutenant Colonel Ronnie Watson for his
superb emceeing of the event. You were amazing and we
are so grateful!
Thank you to Don Dzubiak and company for painting the
green line on Tremont Avenue and to 45th Precinct Community
Affairs Officer John Souhrada for his help with it.
Thanks to the Donovan family for supplying their convertibles,
and for our chauffeurs who came to help.
Thanks to Barrino’s Market for always lending us a hand.
Thank you to Joe Mondello of Wide Area Communications
for his work with the sound system and Billy Greco
for always being there for us on the corner. Thanks also
to Jerry Landi of Amuck Duck Productions for recording
the day’s events for us.
Thank you to the thousands of people who lined the
Parade Route to cheer on the marchers and provided an
amazing atmosphere!
Thank you to Don Dzubiak and company for painting the
green line on Tremont Avenue and to 45th Precinct Community
Affairs Officer John Souhrada for his help with it.
Thanks to the Donovan family for supplying their convertibles,
and for our chauffeurs who came to help.
This Parade is always held the Sunday before St. Patrick’s
Day, rain or shine – so plan to join us again next
year for our 25th Annual Parade on Sunday, March 12,
2023. The spectators make the day fantastic!
Thank you to everyone who purchased a page in the
journal and gave their time and energy to make this year’s
Parade so special!
As you can see, it took many people to make
this Parade a reality, and to add the special
touches that make it such a beautiful day. We
can’t possibly thank everyone by name, but
we certainly appreciate the hard work and
effort! This is a proud Bronx event, and we
are so pleased to be a part of this wonderful
community. We’ll see you in 2023 for the
25th Annual!
