students and teachers participated.

P.S. 304 PARTICIPATES IN ‘SOUPER BOWL’
P.S. 304 students and staff recently participated in their annual ’SOUPer Bowl’ event, where
the school competes to collect the most canned goods to donate to those who are in hunger.
The event is annually organized by fi rst grade teacher Ms. Lisa Blackman and is held to
integrate areas of learning such as reading, writing, math and lessons in citizenship.

BETH ABRAHAM RESIDENT CELEBRATES 100TH
Beth Abraham Center celebrated the 100th birthday of centennial resident Felix Rosario on
Friday, February 21. Felix was born in 1920 and worked as a farmer and a bodega owner in
the Dominican Republic until he came to America in 1991. He and his wife Raquel, 88, have
been married for 62 years. Rosario was joined by his youngest daughter, Camila, and her
daughter Lorys, along with Beth Abraham staff and residents.
