 Grand Marshal

 The King of Battle
COVID-19 has caused a modification to this year’s parade. Instead of a full parade with spectators, the
march will be conducted by a small cadre of Legion Members and other veterans / community members
to preserve the 36th consecutive year of the parade. That march will start at approximately 11:30 from
Lafayette & Tremont Aves. The main focus is the ceremony at the Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park
where the Parade Committee is encouraging the community to go to the park and maximize attendance.
The park is large enough to maintain social distancing and COVID-19 protocols. The ceremony will recognize
the Grand Marshal; Honorary Grand Marshals; the 75 anniversary of the end of WWII, where a victory
medal will be presented to a living WWII Veteran and a Flag Folding Ceremony by a USMC unit to honor
those veterans that have passed during the COVID crisis and did not receive their proper recognition.
Social Distancing & COVID- 19 Protocol in effect.
Ceremony to honor Grand Marshal, Honorary Grand Marshals, all Veterans,
the American Flag and the 75th Anniversary of the end of WWII
