Game On!!!! Burns and Rodriguez
came out strong but Charlie’s
Angels held them down to only 2
well earned goals. Charlie’s Angels
fi nished with a 5-2 win. All the kids
played great. Johnny Siegmund
started in goal and Vironica Velez
fi nished in goal. Both only giving up
one goal each. Both did an incredible
job! Goals were scored by Sabrina
Ben Mansour (1) and Michael Guarnieri
(4). Great offense and defense

Thank You Dominick Barba, who
hurt his leg but still came out in support
of his team!
Gary’s Super Cuts played their
hearts out this weekend against
Side Street Sports. Jake Connelly
stepped up his game on both offense
and defense. Sebastian Gonzalez
played all different positions including
protecting the goal! Adrianna
Salute was a force on defensive. Benjamin
Shaver’s dribbling skills were
on display. We look forward to our
next game.

On Saturday, October 9th,
2021, Monsignor Scanlan High
School’s track team competed
in the 49th Manhattan College
Cross Country Invitation presented
by HOKA at the legendary
Van Cortlandt Park in the
Bronx. It is noted that this is
the Nation’s Largest One-day
High School Cross Country
Meet.
The following races were
contested: 1.25 miles for Intermediate
and Freshman races.
2.5-mile races for Sophomore,
Junior, and Senior teams. Medals
were given to the top 75 athletes
in their race and a team
trophy & medals to the top two
teams in their race. Crusaders
had a Freshman’s Girls team
in the Group B 1.25-mile race.
Four of our student athletes fi nish
in the top 16th place (Talia
Dixon won a bronze medal, Saniah
Caldwell won a 4th place
medal, Candice Palmer won
an 8th place medal and Rakae
Thomas, who injured her ankle
running down hill won a 16th
place medal). Dakota Hickman,
is better suited for the sprints,
earned her a medal, and secured
a second-place team win
for the Crusaders!!! Great Job
Crusaders!
Our next meet is Wednesday,
October 13th, NY/BQ
Sophomore Boys / Bronx Boys
Championship and Saturday,
October 16th the NYC Cross
Country Carnival at Van Cortlandt
