Free tax preparation
being
provided to
seniors
State Assemblyman Michael Benedetto
has spent the last two snowstorms
shoveling the walkways of senior
citizens in his district. Former
Councilman Mark Gjonaj, as well as
his predecessor, offered free snow removal
service to local seniors that
were snowbound.
“As the fi rst snowfl akes fell, my offi
ce started to receive calls from concerned
elderly homeowners who were
seeking a continuation of the snow removal
program that had previously
been provided by councilmembers. I
was happy to oblige,” Benedetto said.
Benedetto is asking seniors that require
snow removal to sign up for the
service in advance. Call the assemblyman’s
district offi ce at (718) 892-2235 for
further information.
