On Jan. 26, Borough President Vanessa
Gibson and AT&T came together
with U.S. Congressman Ritchie Torres,
state Assemblywoman Yudelka
Tapia, state Sen. Gustavo Rivera and
City Councilman Oswald Feliz to donate
100 Samsung A7 tablets, provided
by AT&T, to to the children and families
impacted by the tragic fi re at Twin
Parks North West.
In addition, the children and families
will receive six months of free mobile
internet to assist them throughout
the rest of the school year; book bags
fi lled with water, notebooks, snacks
and other items.

Rooftop restaurant, partnering
with the NYS Latino Restaurant Association
Food & Emergency Relief Program,
World Kitchen & the Red Cross,
prepared and delivered to Monroe College
100 meals for the Bronx families
who suffered from the deadly Jan. 9
fi re at Twin Parks North West.
Junior member of the Theodore Korony Auxiliary Kasie Leich was awarded
the Good Deed award by The American Legion National Auxiliary. This award
given to children 17 and under for their contributions and service in our community
as well as our veterans. Leich has served helping our “Support The
Troops” program and fl ag retirement ceremonies with her grandfather. Leich,
who has made us proud, will have a bright future in our organization as she
moves forward.
