 NYPD offi cers shot and
 killed a man who allegedly
 rammed his vehicle into a
 police cruiser during a highspeed
 chase on the Belt Parkway
 in Bath Beach on Thursday,
  Nov. 11, and then later
 pointed a gun at cops.
 Police spokesperson Det.
 George Tsourovakas confi
rmed that offi cers had shot
the man just after 4 pm, and
 dispatchers over police radio
 reported the chase, and the
 crash. Police identifi ed the
man on Friday as Brian Astarita,
  65, of Bergen Beach.
 Police spokesperson Lt.
 John Grimpel declined to
identify the offi cers who shot
 Astarita. “We never release
 offi cers’ names in shootings,”
 Grimpel said.
 Chief Rodney Harrison
said at a press conference that
 the incident began when the
 highway patrol offi cer pulled
 over Astarita, who was driving
a Jeep SUV, but when the
 offi cer approached the vehicle
 he sped away.
The offi cer sped up towards
him and attempted to box him
 in, Harrison said. Video obtained
 COURIER LIFE, N 10 OVEMBER 19-25, 2021
 by CBS 2 shows Astarita
 swerving to avoid the
 unmarked cop car which had
sped up in front of him.
Later, after both the offi cer
 and the speeder have pulled
over near the Bay Parkway exit
 in Bath Beach, Astarita stands
 opposite the offi cer holding
what appears to be a gun, and
the offi cer can be heard yelling
at him to drop the gun. Harrison
 said that Astarita pulled
a gun out of his backseat and
began pointing it at the offi cer
and others who had arrived as
 backup, and continued toward.

 Afterwards, in graphic video
 posted on Twitter, a succession
 of gunshots can be heard,
about twenty shots in all. Harrison
 said the offi cers had
 their body cameras activated
at the time of the shooting. Astarita
can be seen in video of
 the incident getting struck by
 a cascade of bullets.
 Video published by the
New York Post shows that the
 offi cers shot Astarita while
 crouching behind their parked
squad car. Video posted by the
 Twitter account NYC Scanner
 show the offi cers apparently
 begin shooting again after an
 extended pause, and shooting
the victim after he is already
 lying on the ground.
 Cops on scene recovered a
 handgun, Harrison noted.
The offi cers can be seen rendering
 aid to Astarita before
 EMTs arrived. Paramedics
 rushed the shooting victim to
 NYU Langone Hospital, where
 he was pronounced dead.
 The incident is being investigated
 as a possible “suicideby
 cop,” and a use-of-force investigation
 has been opened, as
 occurs after every police shooting,
  according to the NYPD.
 State Attorney General Letitia
 James announced Sunday,
Nov. 14, that her offi ce was
 launching an investigation
 into Astarita’s death. The Attorney
 General’s offi ce serves
as a special prosecutor in incidents
 where police offi cers
 cause someone’s death; that
 power was initially proffered
in an executive order by former
 Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and
was codifi ed into law by the
 State Legislature last year.

“When I discovered ISOLATED STRETCH THERAPY everything changed...”
“Chiropractic adjustments were “scary” and “painful” so
I trusted my doctor and took pills and epidurals out
of desperation because living with chronic sciatica drained
the life out me.” BUT when I discovered ISOLATED STRETCH
 THERAPY everything changed...
August 13 1970, Bruce Lee, a famous actor and legendary
Kung Fu hero, was told by his doctors he was never going
to be able to kick again after sustaining a crush injury to
his lumbarsacral discs, nearly breaking his back. Lee’s

from him leaving him with a devastating life sentence of
 chronic sciatica...
So What! What does this have to do with
your sciatica or herniated disc pain?
Absolutely nothing and totally everything... You probably
have sciatica and you can understand the suffering and pain
it can cause. Like you, even Bruce Lee was told that there
was nothing to be done for his sciatica but Bruce Lee did
not quit martial arts for the rest of his life!
Despite the doctor’s prognosis that Lee’s S4 nerve root
and lumbar disc would never heal and that Lee would be

and strength in his leg in just 6 months! Bruce even regained
his ability to perform his signature cat-like spring loaded
 roundhouse kicks with full power...
Want to know Lee’s secret and how it can
 help you heal your sciatica?
Luckily, a few smart Athletic Trainers and Physiotherapists,
have deconstructed Lee’s stretching system to pain-free
flexibility and incredible power and reapplied these
principles to helping anyone at any age!

on isolated neural-muscular stretching. Stabilization straps
hold the spine safe, tricking the brain to shut off pain like
anesthesia. ACTIVE pain-free muscle contractions held before
the stretch around the painful leg retrain the nerve around
the leg, instantly releasing the sciatic nerve compression in 3

gymnast without expensive traction devices, oily expensive
 massages or epidurals. It’s magic!
A skeptical Doctor in Brooklyn explains his experience with
ISOLATED “ACTIVE” STRETCHING...”It’s like what happens
if you were under anesthesia, we could put your legs behind
your head and you would feel no stretching pain or stiffness,
because the spinal cord and brain has no inpuLthe isolation
straps and active muscle contraction during the stretch
create that same perception...the muscle tone completely

I call this unique system: ISOLATED
 STRETCH THERAPY...
This is a breakthrough stretching method that can help even
the toughest sciatic pain cases no matter what they have
 tried already-guaranteed!
“LET ME JUST REST” – you are 100% correct! Resting helps
relieve the pain when you lay down or sit in a comfortable
position. Maybe it feels good now, but it’s doing you more
harm than good. Actually resting will make your hip muscles
lazier and weaker. Over time your sciatic nerve will begin to
 lock your back even more...
WAIT! I agree with you! You tried traditional passive
stretching already and it may have failed and maybe even
made you worse off and really, It’s not your fault!
Isolated stretch therapy is nothing like
traditional tug and pull static stretching!
Let me explain how this works: )
*

like a seatbelt. What happens if you pull your car seatbelt too
quickly? The seatbelt LOCKS up and the more you try to force

works when you have sciatic pain, but with “Isolated Stretch
Therapy” the Physiotherapist uses precision strapping with
an exact directional stretch to unwind the stuck nerve while

One sciatica client said, “It’s like a high-performance tuneup
without going for an hour long yoga session... and it
 lasted for 3 days!”
Exactly! We trick your brain to turn off the pain signal to the

active joint range of motion you forgot how to use, while
waking up your lazy leg and back muscles...
 MASSAGE, ADJUSTMENTS, ACUPUNCTURE,
 TRACTION, PASSIVE STRETCHING,
LASERS and EVEN INJECTIONS GIVE ONLY
 TEMPORARY RELIEF FOR ONE REASON...
While I do agree that they feel really great and help relieve
your pain, they NEVER address the lazy muscles surrounding
the nerve. Again.Jike a tightly pulled seatbelt, the muscle

any of the above procedures. The sciatic nerve tissue gets
squeezed forcing your back or leg into constant stiffness,
 numbness or pain.
OK! LETS SEE IF THIS CAN WORK FOR
 YOU... TAKE THIS 30-SECOND SELF-TEST...

having pain, numbness or tingling in ONE LEG and the pain
does not pass the knee and If nothing has helped yet, ask
yourself these key questions, does the PAIN become worse
with: 1. Rolling in bed? 2. Getting up from a low chair or
out of your car after sitting for awhile?
If you answered yes, try this. Sit slouched forward
while straightening your painful leg. If this increases
your PAIN, you may have Sciatica! Chronic Pain and
Sciatica Specialists at AllCare Physical Therapy have
simplified the diagnostic process and proven to easily
treat nerve and muscle pain with immediate relief, using
results-oriented methods that address the root cause
 of your problem.
