My Kind of Fire
My Kind of Fire is a Queens-based band that
fuses modern alternative and indie rock with a
touch of 2000s-era pop punk thrown in. Their
music is strongly nostalgic good fun without
being derivative.
Fans of Blink 182, New Found Glory and The
Wonder Years will find like-minded music with
My Kind of Fire.
Band members Matt Sullivan and Dan Hernandez
started this project in 2015 and have
received nothing but love and support from the
Queens community wherever they play. Sullivan
considers the camaraderie of the Queens
scene to be like no other:
“The music scene in Queens is one big family
no matter where you go around here,” Sullivan
said. “Nothing can beat that!”
Check out their new record titled “Moving
On,” which was released on Dec. 1. “Moving
On” was recorded by Nik Bruzzese (Man Overboard)
and Ace Enders (The Early November)
at The Lumberyard in Hammonton, New Jersey.
