When the pandemic changed the city overnight,
lovebirds who were set to get married in the
spring and summer found that their wedding
plans had evaporated. They grappled with potential
ways to adapt, such as postponing, eloping
or holding a socially distanced ceremony.
Despite the difficulties, local couples found creative
ways to make it work. After all, even in times of corona,
love always finds a way.
Newlyweds Sarah and James Constantino met at CrossFit
Queens in Astoria. They had planned on having a small wedding
in the neighbourhood where they’d fallen in love, but
due to COVID-19, their ceremony was more intimate than
