A cat burglar ripped off a school
on Hanover Place on Nov. 1.
An employee told police that the
vagrant snuck into the school near
Bond Street through an unlocked
window sometime between 3:30 and
6:30 am, and made off with an iPad
and a MacBook Air.
Home invasion
Sneak thieves made off with
thousands of dollars of property
from an apartment on Livingston
Street on Nov. 5.
The victim told police that the
burglars snuck into the apartment
near Court Street sometime between
11 am and 4 pm, before ransacking
the place for $6,000 worth of
electronics.
What a tool!
A handy thief ripped off a construction
site on State Street on
Nov. 3.
An employee told police that the
burglar broke a lock to enter the site
near Nevins Street around 8 pm and
made off with $9,900 worth of tools.

Playstolen
Five goons attacked a man and
stole his Playstation 5 as he walked
along Greene Avenue on Nov. 8.
The victim told police that he
was attempting to sell the console
at the corner of Clermont Avenue
at around 5 pm, but one of the baddies
whipped out a fi rearm and stole
the item, along with his bag and two
pairs of Nike sneakers.
Attempted bike theft
A pair of pilferers nearly stole a
delivery worker’s electric bicycle on
Downing Street on Nov. 9.
The victim told police that he was
delivering food near Putnam Avenue
just after 7pm when the wouldbe
thieves threatened him with a
pistol and tried to take the bike by
force, before fl eeing empty handed
after a brief skirmish.
Bagel shop attack
A man allegedly attacked a Fulton
Street bagel shop customer with
a pair of scissors on Nov. 11.
The victim told police that the
alleged stabby stranger entered the
store near Washington Avenue just
before 11 am, and began attacking
him.
Cops arrested the man on the
scene, while paramedics took the

Bay Ridge teacher arrested
after allegedly kissing
13-year-old student

multiple puncture wounds on his
head, leg and arm, according to police
reports.
Handyman hijacked
A snake stole a bunch of cash
from an apartment building handyman
on Willoughby Avenue last
month.
The victim told police that he left
$6,000 in cash in a box in his locker,
which was open inside a room with
several other employee lockers, but
between Oct. 8 and Oct. 28, a stickyfi
ngered thief nabbed all the cash.
Equipment nabbed
A bandit broke into a parked car
and made off with expensive photography
equipment on Adelphi Street
in the early hours of Nov. 8.
The victim told police that
he had parked the car at around
10pm on Nov. 8 and, early the next
morning, found that someone had
smashed his rear driver’s-side window
and stolen batteries, lights, a
battery holder, and an adapter, all
told worth just over $1,000.
Bump-and-run
A sneaky pickpocket grabbed an
iPhone 10 from an unsuspecting victim’s
pocket near Atlantic Terminal
on Nov. 9.
The victim told police that she
felt someone bump into her, then felt
something slide out of her pocket at
the corner of S. Elliott Place and Fulton
Street at 5:30 pm. She reached
down and realized that her work
cell phone was missing — and when
she turned around, the pilferer was
already running away.
Bike zooms away
A jerk stole an UberEats driver’s
rented Zoomo electric bike from
Myrtle Avenue on Nov. 9.
The victim told police that he
had parked the bike on the sidewalk
with a wheel lock at about 8 pm
while he went to pick up food near
Grand Street, but just a few minutes
later, the bike was gone.
Cold-hearted
Porch pirates struck again on
Oxford Street on Nov. 8, making off
with a selection of brand-new cold
weather clothes.
The victim told police that her
package had been delivered inside
the front door of her building near
Lafayette Avenue, but camera footage
showed the sneak thief grabbing
packages and opening them on
the sidewalk outside at about 7pm.
He made off more than $4,000 in
clothes, including Canada Goose
coats, multiple pairs of boots, jackets,
Jordan sneakers, and sweaters,
turtlenecks, and tshirts.

Bicycle brigade
A trio of brigands violently stole
a man’s bicycle on W. 19th on Nov.
10.
The victim told police that the
bandits punched and tased him between
Avenues S and T at around
6:45 pm, before stealing the bike,
which they claim belonged to their
friend.
Eyesore
Thieves stole eye products and
cash from an 18th Avenue store on
Nov. 11.
The victim told police that the
duo of shoplifters snagged the nearly
$2,000 worth of cash and merchandise
from the store between 66th
and 67th streets at around 3:30 pm
and fl ed.

Cold lady
A snake pickpocketed an elderly
woman on Third Avenue on Oct. 2.
The 80-year-old victim told police
that a swindler lifted her wallet
while she was grocery shopping
at FoodTown near 91st Street at
around 9:30 am, and made off with
her credit cards and $200 in cash.

A Brooklyn special education
teacher was arrested last week after
he was seen kissing a 13-yearold
student on the lips, police said.
Michael D’Anna, 41, a teacher
at PS/IS 30 Mary White Ovington
in Bay Ridge, was charged with
sexual abuse and acting in a manner
injurious to a child, 1010WINS
reported.
An assistant principal at the
school claims to have seen D’Anna
kiss a male student at around 8 am
last Friday, in P.S./I.S. 30’s science
lab, according to NBC. D’Anna is
a tenured teacher hired by the Department
of Education in 2009 and
has worked at his current school
since 2013, according to the New
York Post.
“The school immediately reported
this deeply concerning allegation,
and this individual has
been removed from the school
while we follow the necessary
steps to pursue termination,” a Department
of Education spokesperson
told NY1. “The safety of our
students is our top priority, and
we are cooperating fully with the
police department to assist with
the investigation.”
