Cops seize 33 guns
in E. Flatbush raid
BY ROSE ADAMS
A Long Island man faces a life behind
bars after a jury found him guilty of
conspiring to sell crack cocaine out of
an apartment in Sunset Park on Aug.
15.
Jurors convicted 43-year-old Nassau
County resident Rafael Antonio
Fabian of running a drug operation
out of a Sunset Park apartment he
leased, hiring runners to deliver the
drugs to customers throughout Sunset
Park and Bay Ridge, according to U.S.
Attorney Richard Donoghue
Investigators uncovered more than
50 pages of messages between Fabian
and co-conspirators, as well as testimony
from accomplices to unveil the
drug lord’s crack enterprise, and Sunset
Park stash house, which he operated
from January 2014 to March 2016,
Donoghue said.
Fabian’s runners handled the majority
of the street-level transactions
with drug users, although the kingpin
did occasionally deliver the narcotics
personally, storing the drugs in a trap
drawer installed within glove compartments
of his many vehicles, prosecutors
claimed.
BUSTED: Cops arrested three people on
Sunday for storing 33 fi rearms and one fake
gun in their Linden Boulevard apartment.

Fabian was initially freed on a
$100,000 bond, but U.S. Chief District
Court Judge Irizarry revoked his
bail privileges after the trial, and remanded
the traffi cker into custody. No
date has been set for Fabian’s sentencing,
but he faces a mandatory minimum
sentence of 10 years in prison, according
to the U.S. Attorney’s Offi ce.

Authorities claim that offi cers from

answered, told police her son wasn’t
home, and slammed the door — but offi
cers soon caught the 40-year-old man
as he tried to fl ee through the fi re escape,
CBS reported .
Police obtained a search warrant
on Aug. 18, and uncovered 18 assault
rifl es, 12 handguns, two shotguns, a rifl
e, one imitation fi rearm, and ammunition
from the East Flatbush home.
Authorities arrested the three occupants
of the apartment on multiple
counts of criminal possession of a
weapon, according to a police spokesman.
