Stolen goods
A thief looted an unlocked car
parked overnight on Avenue U on
June 25, that contained $52,740
worth of valuables.
The victim told police his bank
sent him an e-mail warning of
multiple suspicious charges on his
credit cards at around 4 p.m., and
the victim returned to his car near
Burnett Street to discover valuables
including his wallet, engagement
ring, and designer watch were stolen,
cops said.
Bounced check
A thief nabbed a check out of the
mailbox of a woman’s E. 45th Street
home on June 13.
The victim told police the crook
looted the mailbox of her house near
Avenue L at round noon, before altering
the check to read $4,093 instead
of $493.
The woman called Chase Bank,
but the funds had already been removed
from her account, police
said.
An employee told police the suspect
grabbed $1,297 worth of stuff
around 6:30 p.m., before attempting
to fl ee the store near E. 29 Street and
Nostrand Avenue.

Mixed signals
A man beat his ex-girlfriend and
broke her phone inside a Surf Avenue
residential building on June 23,
cops said.
The victim told police her former
fl ame threw her phone against a
wall inside the building near W. 30th
Street, causing it to break. He choked
her as she tried to escape, causing her
to lose balance and fall, cops said. The
ex-boyfriend also threw a small piano
at her head, police said.
Cell service
Cops arrested a man for stealing
a cell phone and assaulting two men
on the Riegelman Board Walk on
June 28.
The victim told police the crooks
hit him over the head with a glass
bottle near Coney Island Avenue at
7:40 p.m., before nabbing his cellphone
and fl eeing, punching another
man in the face as they took
off, police said.
Gunpoint goons
A thief robbed two men at gunpoint
on W. 17th Street on June 24,
police said.
The victims told police the robber
pulled a gun near Mermaid Avenue
and demanded $20 before fl eeing,
cops said.
Cane drain
Cops arrested a woman for physically
assaulting a woman on W. 12th
Street on June 28.
The victim told police she was arguing
with the woman’s sister near
Neptune Avenue at 11:15 a.m., when
she was struck in the head with a
metal cane.
The cane caused bruising to the
head and left arm, causing the victim
to be transported to Coney Island
Hospital to receive treatment
for minor injuries.

Jewel heist
A burglar nabbed $12,000 worth
of jewelry from a man’s Ocean Avenue
home on June 24.
The victim told police he left his
house near Jerome Avenue at 8:30
a.m., and returned at 7:30 p.m. to
fi nd his home looted, and valuables
including an engagement ring, silver
necklace, gold rings and gold
bracelets stolen, cops said.
Wigging out
Cops arrested three men for allegedly
stealing a woman’s phone,
wig and food on Quentin Road on
June 24.
The victim told police she was
heading back to work at her job
near E. 17th Street at 7:17 p.m.
when the suspects ambushed her
from behind. The attack caused
the victim to suffer minor injuries
to the back, arms, and face, cops
said.
During the altercation one of the
three men fl ed with her Chinese
food. The other two snatched her
wig and phone, police said.

Bike bully
A 12-year-old stole another kid’s
bike on West 12th Street on June 17.
The 11-year-old victim told police
that he was riding on the corner
of West 12th Street and Bay
Ridge Parkway at 3:15 p.m. when
the pint-sized perp approached him

and asked him if he could ride the
bike. The victim said no, and the
kid slapped him, pushed him off the
bike, and rode away, according to
authorities.
Social insecurity
A con artist swindled a woman
out of $24,500 by calling her 71st
Street residence on June 26, and
telling her that her social security
number had been compromised.
The victim told police that the
scammer called her at her apartment
between 21st Avenue and
Bay Parkway at 10:30 a.m., and
had claimed to be an offi cer from
the 69th precinct. The phony told
the victim that her name had been
associated with money laundering
and drug tracking in Texas,
and advised her to get a new social
security number, she told police.
Meanwhile, the crook’s coconspirator
convinced the victim
to transfer her money into a Chase
Bank account, taking all her cash,
authorities report.
Garage sale
A sneak thief climbed through a
woman’s window on June 29, nabbing
her credit card and designerbrand
wallet from the 18th Avenue
residence.
The victim told police that she
heard the fi lcher in her kitchen
between Benson Avenue and 86th
Street at around 1:45 a.m. The
woman went to the kitchen to fi nd
her window open and her wallet and
credit card gone, police say.
Seeing green
A veggie villain broke into a
parked truck carrying wholesale
vegetables on Shore Parkway on
June 29 and threw the fresh produce
on the ground!
The driver told police that when
he returned to his truck parked between
Eugene R. Romano Lane and
Bay 44th Street at 3:10 p.m., he discovered
the crook had broken into
the back door and thrown his tomatoes,
green grapes, and red grapes
on the ground. Police claim that the
food fi lcher fl ed, and no suspects
have been found.

Sunset slasher
A Knife-wielding wacko slashed a
man on Fourth Avenue on June 26.
The victim told police that he
began arguing with the goon near
58th Street at around 1 a.m., when
the brute brandished a knife and
cut the victim, causing minor lacerations
to his right hand, cops
said.
Bad connection
A scam artist swindled a Sixth
Avenue woman out of $40,000 on
June 25.
The victim told police she received
a call from an unknown
number while at her home between
49th and 50th street at 9:30
a.m. The charlatan told the victim
that she was being investigated for
fraud, and she needed to the funds
via an online virtual currency,
cops said.
Late-night bandits
Two savages beat a man and
robbed him on 48th Street on June
26.
The victim told police he was
walking between Fourth and Fifth
avenues at around 3 a.m., when the
two baddies began punching and
kicking him, before stealing the
victim’s wallet and cellphone, cops
said.
Camera crook
A thief stole a $1,500 camera from
a parked car on Prospect Avenue on
June 25.
The victim told police that he left
his car unlocked outside his home
between Eighth Avenue and Prospect
Park West, and — as the victim
headed inside his apartment to grab
something — the fi lcher walked
passed and swiped the camera at
around 9:15 a.m., cops said.
Stick-wielding snake
A marauder brutally robbed a
man on Second Avenue on June 27.
The victim told police he was
near the intersection of 59th Street
shortly after midnight, when the
perp began punching the victim in
the face. After the victim fell to the
ground, the crook laid into him
with a stick, before nabbing his
wallet and running off, cops said.
Sunset scumbags
Two bandits robbed a woman on
Fourth Avenue on June 30.
The victim told police that she
was walking near 53rd Street at 3
a.m., when the perps grabbed her
and told her to “give us everything
you got.” The pillagers stole a cellphone
and a wallet, before fl eeing toward
52nd Street, cops said.
