The shooting broke out just

A&M Deli, near the intersection
of Greene Avenue and Malcolm X
Boulevard in Bedford-Stuyvesant,
where chocolate bars and muffi ns
were sprawled out on the pavement
as authorities investigated.
“Early this morning, they
got into a dispute,” said witness
Tammy Paterson of the employee
and the trigger man, who she said
threatened to come back and kill
the worker.
“I’ll come back and kill you.
Keep playing with me,” the perp
allegedly said.
Shootings are up nearly 67 percent

where Thursday’s incident
occurred, when compared to 2020,
according to NYPD data.
“This type of thing makes me
feel unsafe,” said patron Peggy

morning for coffee. What happens
if he comes back and shoots
the other deli workers and everyone
in the damn store?”
