Celebrate Earth Day with Bayside Historical
Society by helping to beautify the Castle’s gardens.
Volunteers will clear out last year’s weeds and old
plants and prep the beds for new flowers and plants.

2. BEE-A-POLLINATOR EARTH DAY
SERVICE DAY
To celebrate the 52nd anniversary of Earth
Day, come volunteer with Queens Farm. Assist
with sifting compost, spring clean-up in the
Children’s Garden, mulching, weeding and more.
Volunteers can also enjoy apiary talks with the
farm’s resident beekeeper, a compost giveback,
Adopt-a-Worm composting tips at the ConEdison
Ecology booth, tractor-drawn hayrides, a selfguided
scavenger hunt and free giveaways.
