 Astoria Park Run — Every  
 Saturday, a volunteer-led  
 initiative meets in the morning  
 for runs and walks through  
 local neighborhood parks.  
 Although, this run will be held  
 in Astoria Park, this initiative  
 occurs in all fi ve boroughs.  
 This free event will be 2.5  
 to 3 miles long. Participants  
 are encouraged to arrive 15  
 minutes before the start of  
 the run and to leave their  
 valuables at home. They also  
 welcome people of all ages  
 and experience levels to join.

 International Women’s  
 Day — This year, Brooklyn  
 Boulders Queensbridge

 Boulders Queensbridge plans  
 to highlight the strength  
 and power of all those who  
 identify as women through  
 various workshops. This will  
 also include a panel and the  
 screening of fi lms from No  
 Man’s Land Film Festival.

 Global Mashup 1: Bollywood  
 Meets Global Roots Blues  
 — This event combines two  
 cultures for a night of music,

 band will perform a set, then  
 the two bands meet and jam  
 out together. The show has  
 two powerhouse groups: Falu,  
 an internationally recognized  
 Indian performer, and Hazmat  
 Modine, a blues New York  
 City group. The performance  
 has African, Central Asian,  
 Caribbean and Eastern  
 European infl uences.
