80 years young celebration
LGA GM Tony Vero welcomes guests to the
celebration of the 80th year of Marine Air
Terminal.

In December the LaGuardia iconic
Marine Air Terminal turned 80 years
old.

Aviation Director Huntley Lawrence
and other Port managers were on
hand to share in a this piece of history
and of cake to celebrate the grand
building and WPA vintage panoramic
artwork featuring the B314 Clipper
which was one of the first boats used
at the terminal
This gem of a terminal is tucked
away from the main area offering easy
access to JetBlue flights at LGA.

Parkway to
be permanently
closed; westbound
drivers accessing
Terminals B, C, &
D and 94th Street
must use Exit 7
A major new
piece of the permanent
roadway network
at LaGuardia
Airport will open on Saturday.
Starting at 5 a.m., a new
section of westbound Exit 7
off the Grand Central Parkway
(GCP) will enable drivers
to take a route that involves
less merging on their ride to
the Delta Terminals (Terminals
C & D). Drivers heading
to C&D will keep right after
exiting. Drivers heading to
Terminal B and 94th Street
will continue straight ahead
after exiting the GCP.
Westbound Exit 6 on the
Grand Central Parkway
(GCP) will be permanently
closed starting tomorrow. All
westbound GCP traffic bound
for Terminals B, C, D and
94th Street must use Exit 7.
There will be updated directional
signage installed on
the GCP to assist westbound
drivers using the new traffic
patterns.

January Public Info Sessions
The Federal Aviation Administration
(FAA) will hold Public Information
Sessions to present the Draft Alternatives
Analysis for the Proposed LaGuardia
Airport (LGA) Access Improvement
Project Environmental Impact Statement
(EIS).
Two public information sessions for
the general public will be held, one from
6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday,
January 14, 2020 and the second
from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm Eastern Time on
Wednesday, January 15, 2020. The same
information will be provided at each session.
Both information sessions will be
held in the Grand Ballroom of the New
York LaGuardia Airport Marriott, 102-05
Ditmars Boulevard, East Elmhurst, NY
11369.
Information Session Topics:
• Summary of scoping process and scoping
comments received
• Alternatives identified
• Results of the alternatives screening
analysis
• Update on the EIS schedule and process
The public information sessions will
be conducted in an open house format
with project information displayed and
representatives from the FAA and the
EIS Team available to answer questions.
The FAA cannot accept verbal testimony
or formal comments at the information
sessions. These sessions will be limited to
discussing the FAA’s alternatives screening
criteria and analysis. The FAA has
not yet selected a preferred alternative.
Any environmental impacts or mitigation
associated with a preferred alternative
will be addressed in the Draft EIS.
The information sessions will be open
to all persons on a space-available basis.
There will be no admission fee or other
charge, including parking, to attend and
participate (parking validation will be
available).
Translation services, including an assistive
listening device, and sign and oral
interpretation can be made available at
the information sessions, if requested 10
calendar days before the sessions. To request
