DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
Terminal 8 Improvements Project
John F. Kennedy International Airport, Jamaica, New York
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), notice is hereby
given that copies of a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed Terminal
8 Improvements project at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) are available for
public review and comment at the following locations:

The Draft EA document for this project will be available at these locations until the close
of the comment period, which is 5:00 PM on Wednesday September 18, 2019. If you
intend to view the document at the JFK Airport or World Trade Center locations, please
contact Kathryn Lamond at klamond@panynj.gov to schedule an appointment at least
one day before your visit. A copy of the Draft EA may also be viewed online at:
http://www.panynj.gov/about/studies-reports.html.
The Draft EA responds to all of the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration
for preparation of an EA under NEPA. The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey
(Port Authority) is inviting the public to submit, in writing, comments on the Draft EA
prepared for the Terminal 8 Improvements project. The Port Authority is accepting
comments on this Draft EA document until the official comment period closes on
Wednesday September 18, 2019. Comments must be received by 5:00 PM on
Wednesday September 18, 2019, in order to be considered. Written comments on the
Draft EA can be sent directly to Kathryn Lamond of the Port Authority, 4 World Trade
Center, 18th Floor, New York, NY 10007. Additionally, comments may be emailed to
JFKEA@panynj.gov with the subject heading “JFK Terminal 8.” If you have any
