Trio pulls off a violent robbery

Cops are looking for a
trio who beat up a man in
Howard Beach and then
forced him to withdraw
money from his account.
According to police, at
12:30 a.m. on July 23, a 22-
year-old man exited his
parked vehicle, located
behind 155-11 84th St.,
when he was approached
by three unknown men.
The men proceeded to
punch the victim in
the face and demanded
his property.

After the victim surrendered his
cellphone and car keys, two of the men
pushed him back into the back seat
of his car and sat with him while the
other man, who was wearing a white
sweatshirt, drove to a Chase Bank,
located at 82-39 153rd Ave. The driver
escorted the victim and demanded that
he withdraw cash.
The victim complied, and handed
over $300 in cash after withdrawing
it. The suspects then fled the scene on
foot eastbound on 153rd Avenue.
The victim retained possession of
his vehicle, keys and his cellphone.
He suffered pain and bruising to his
face but refused medical attention at
the scene.

Elmhurst
Bike thieves roll through area

The NYPD is looking for a duo who
stole electric bikes that were parked on
an Elmhurst street.
Police say that at 4:30 a.m. on June
21, two unknown individuals took two
e-bikes that were parked in the vicinity
of Whitney Avenue and Macnish
Street. The bikes were later reported
stolen to the 110th Precinct by the 30-
year-old victim.
The 110th Precinct tweeted out
photos taken from surveillance footage
at the time of the incident.

Woodhaven
Deadly hit-and-run on Woodhaven Blvd.

A man died of his injuries after
he was run down by a car in a hitand
run in Woodhaven on Thursday
At around 5 a.m. on July 25, police
responded to a 911 call regarding a
motor vehicle collision involving a
pedestrian struck on Woodhaven
Boulevard near 91st Avenue. Upon
their arrival, officers found a 56-
year-old man lying in the roadway,
unconscious and unresponsive, with
severe body trauma.
EMS responded to the location and
pronounced the victim dead at the
scene. His identity is being withheld
pending proper family notification.
A preliminary investigation found
that the victim was attempting to cross
Woodhaven Boulevard, from east to
west, when a gray sedan travelling
southbound on Woodhaven Boulevard
struck the victim.
Police say that the vehicle involved
in the collision did not remain at the
scene following the crash.
No arrests have been made at this
time. The investigation is ongoing.

Flushing

Burglar hits senior care center

Cops are looking for a crook who
broke into a senior facility in Flushing
last week and took off with cash.
According to police, at 6:22 p.m.
on July 24, the male burglar gained
access to the Flushing Social Adult
Day Care center, located at 132-28 41st
Ave., by unknown means. Once inside,
the suspect swiped $1,500 in cash from
an office within the building.
The perpetrator then fled the scene
on foot in an unknown direction, cops
said. The incident was reported to the
109th Precinct.
Police released the following video
of the suspect, who is described as a
white man with glasses. He was last
seen wearing a blue shirt, light-colored
shorts and black sneakers.
