Stay cool at Queens pools all summer!
The NYC Parks
Department runs eight
public pools across Queens.
Outdoor pools will reopen
June 27, and operate
from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily,
and are closed from 3 -
4 p.m. for cleaning. All
intermediate- and Olympicsized
swimming pools
will remain open through
Sunday, Sept. 9.
Bring a sturdy
combination lock to secure
your belongings, but leave
the food, glass bottles,
newspapers and electronic
devices at home.
The city Parks
Department also maintains
14 miles of beaches, which
are open from Memorial
Day weekend through Labor
Day. During beach season,
lifeguards are on duty
daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Swimming is prohibited
when lifeguards are
not on duty and in
closed sections.

staffs lifeguards during the season,
which runs from Memorial Day to
Labor Day.
Swimming is permitted only when a
lifeguard is on duty, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Surfi ng sections are located between
Beach 67th and 69th streets and from
Beach 87th to 92nd streets.
Boardwalk open daily from 6 a.m. to
10 p.m. Concession stands are located
at Beach 86th Street, Beach 97th
Street, Beach 106th Street and Beach
116th Street.
Free parking lots are available along
Beach 11th to Beach 15th streets and
on Beach 95th Street. Free street
parking is also allowed.
