HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS
Queens high schoolers run for
On May 5, scores of runners from Queens high schools —
including Cardozo High School in Bayside, the Queens High
School of Teaching in Bellerose and Queens Metropolitan
High School in Forest Hills — braved inclement weather
to participate in the Marty Lewis Memorial Viking Classic
Outdoor track meet hosted by South Shore High School in
Brooklyn.
The meet was geared for freshman and sophomore athletes.
Metropolitan sophomore Joshua Piza would receive special
recognition for his performance in the Sophomore
