Cops looking for two men who
mugged a man in Corona
Police from the 110th Precinct in
Elmhurst are looking for a cyclist and his
partner in connection to a mugging incident
in Corona earlier this month.
A 35-year-old man was walking in
the vicinity of Junction Boulevard
and 41st Avenue just before 6 a.m. on
Th ursday, Nov. 4, when the two suspects
approached him from behind and forcibly
grabbed him, police said.
Th e muggers removed the victim’s
Samsung cellphone and his wallet, which
contained one debit card and other
items. Th e assailants fl ed westbound on
41st Avenue.
Th e victim wasn’t injured and police
believe he was targeted aft er he was seen
leaving a check-cashing business shortly
before he was jumped by the suspects.
Th e NYPD released surveillance images
of the two suspects. Th e cyclist was
wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt,
gray sweatpants and white sneakers
while the second man was last seen wearing
a gray jacket, dark-colored pants and
light-colored sneakers.

Cops search for gunman
who allegedly robbed
a Rego Park deli
Police from the 112th Precinct in Forest
Hills are searching for a gunman in connection
to a Rego Park robbery that
occurred on the aft ernoon of Sunday,
Nov. 7.
At around 2 p.m. on Nov. 7, police say
a man entered a deli located at 92-32
Queens Blvd. just south of the Long Island
Expressway and pulled out a handgun.
Th e suspect then demanded cash from
the register and the deli employee complied,
police said.
Th e suspect fl ed the store on foot to
parts unknown with approximately
$1,500 in cash. Th ere were no injuries
reported as a result of the incident,
according to police.
Th e NYPD released surveillance images
of the suspect who wore a dark black
hooded jacket over a red hooded sweatshirt.
Th e man wore a black face mask and
white and black sneakers.
No arrests have been made. Th e investigation
is ongoing.

NYPD searching for woman
for allegedly attacking cop
with shoe at a Steinway
Street restaurant in Astoria
Police from the 114th Precinct in
Astoria are on the lookout for a
woman who assaulted one of their
own with a shoe inside a Steinway
Street fast food restaurant on the
morning of Sunday, Nov. 7.
Th e shocking incident occurred
inside the Chubby Burgers &
Chicken, located at 25-97 Steinway
St., just aft er 3 a.m. a few blocks away
from the station house on Astoria
Boulevard.
An on-duty police offi cer in uniform
was responding with other uniformed
offi cers to reports of a disorderly
group inside the restaurant.
A melee broke out and a woman
removed her shoe and smashed it
over the offi cer’s head before fl eeing
the scene on foot, police said.
Th e offi cer had pain and bruising
to his forehead aft er the assault, and
was transported by EMS to Elmhurst
Hospital Center, where he was listed
in stable condition.
Th e NYPD released video surveillance
of the incident, which spotshadows
the actual assault. Another
image shows the suspect before the
assault wearing a red-colored wig
and dark-colored jacket over a short
black dress.
