In addition to cash management services, her team provides lines of credit for working capital, term loans for equipment purchases, and commercial mortgages for owner-occupied real estate. A new product for non-profits was recently rolled out to serve that purpose. Amalgamated Bank’s Non-Profit Funding Advance, a first-of-its-kind service allows non-profits to immediately secure funding from state grants they have been awarded. Here’s how it works. After a non-profit is awarded a grant from the state, Amalgamated buys the voucher and provides the non-profit with 70 percent of the funds up front. When the state distributes the full amount of the voucher to Amalgamated, the bank then pays the balance to the non-profit, minus a monthly 1 percent fee. While banking access and
