Here’s what you need to know to prepare for the TACHS exam

with them to the designated testing site
on the day of the exam. (Students are
assigned to the nearest test site by their
ZIP code.)
Students should arrive on the test
date by 8:15 a.m.; the exam will begin
promptly at 9 a.m. Th e test itself is 2
hours long, with short pauses in between
parts. Students should bring with them
two sharpened #2 pencils with erasers,
their Admit Card and identifi cation
(either a student ID or their library
card). Electronic or battery-operated
devices, including cellphones, calculators
and watches, are not permitted;
food, beverages and scrap paper are also
prohibited.
