Thieves rob teen at
knifepoint in Woodhaven
Detectives need the public’s help in
fi nding a group of men who robbed a
teenager of his belongings — including
his sneakers — on the streets of
Woodhaven earlier this month.
Police said the knifepoint robbery
occurred at around 3:15 a.m. on Sept.
3 near the corner of 85th Avenue and
96th Street.

Crook robs woman at gunpoint
in South Ozone Park
Cops are looking for a crook who took
off with $7,000 aft er he robbed a woman
at gunpoint in South Ozone Park.
According to police, at 6:10 p.m. on
Sept. 6, a 29-year-old woman was holding
her 1-year-old niece while entering a residence
in the vicinity of 135th Place and
Sutter Avenue. An unidentifi ed man proceeded
to enter the area, pulled out a fi rearm
and demanded the woman’s property.
Th e victim initially refused, causing the
suspect to point the fi rearm at the child.
Th e victim then complied, handing over
her purse with had $7,000 inside.
Th e suspect then fl ed the scene in a
dark-colored vehicle.
Police released video of the suspect
entering the property where the robbery
took place. Th e video also shows the car
that the suspect fl ed the scene in.
115th Precinct
Jackson Heights, Corona
Cops are looking for a masked crook
who was caught on camera robbing a
Jackson Heights shop at gunpoint last
month.
According to authorities, at 8:48 p.m.
on Aug. 26, an unknown man entered
Sweety Grocery Store, located at 86-18
37th Ave. Once inside, law enforcement
sources said, he approached the 47-yearold
employee, pulled out a fi rearm and
demanded cash.
Police said that the employee complied
and handed over $1,400 in cash. Th e suspect
then fl ed the scene northbound on
87th Street.
Th e incident was reported to the 115th
Precinct. No injuries were reported.

from the store’s security footage of the
suspect during the robbery, available at

17-year-old male as he walked home.
One of the crooks pulled out a blue
knife and demanded the teenager’s
property.
Th e group then forcibly removed the
victim’s Nike sneakers, an iPhone and
a backpack and fl ed the scene in an
unknown direction, authorities said.
Offi cers from the 102nd Precinct
responded to the incident. Th e teenager
did not suff er injuries.
Th e 102nd Precinct published photos
of the perpetrators in a Sept. 6 post to
its Twitter account. Anyone with information

Cops looking for man involved
in Jamaica shooting
Detectives want to talk to a man connected
with a shooting at a Jamaica
intersection last month during which a
fi red bullet grazed a man’s head.
Th e NYPD released on Sept. 4 video
footage of the person of interest connected
to the Aug. 28 shooting, which
occurred at 8:45 p.m. at the corner of
Jamaica Avenue and 162nd Street.
According to law enforcement sources,
a 44-year-old man sat in the passenger’s
seat of a vehicle stopped at the
intersection when an unidentifi ed male
fi red a shot. Th e bullet shattered the rear
window and grazed the victim’s head.
Aft er the shot rang out, the unidentifi
ed male fl ed the location in an
unknown direction, police said. At this
point in the investigation, sources said,
it’s not clear whether the shooter targeted
the victim.
Offi cers from the 103rd Precinct and
EMS units responded to the incident.
Paramedics brought the man to Jamaica
Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Th e person of interest in the assault
case is shown in the security camera
footage wearing an orange du-rag,
matching sweatshirt and sweatpants,
and blue sneakers while carrying a blue
backpack.
