The suspect entered a clothing store inside the Elmhurst mall at about 3 p.m. on Sept. 4 and approached one of the employees, a 25-year-old woman, according to authorities. He then placed his hand along the victim’s legs and grabbed her genital area over her clothing before fleeing, police said. About five minutes later, also inside the same 90-15 Queens Blvd. shopping center, the suspect came up to a 34-year-old woman, put his arms around her waist and started rubbing his groin area on her buttocks, over the clothing, cops said. He then fled. Police have released surveillance video of the suspect and describe him as Hispanic, 30 to 35 years old, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and 200 to 230 pounds, with dark hair. Cops looking for suspect in attempted abduction of 7-year-old A man tried to lure a 7-year-old girl from a Corona street and into his car on Sept. 1, according to police. The victim was near Corona Avenue and National Street at about 6:30 p.m. when the suspect approached her while driving a black Toyota Camry, cops said. He motioned with his hand for her to come to the vehicle, but the girl declined. The suspect then fled on National Street toward Corona Avenue. Police describe the Toyota Camry as a 2012-2014 black four-door sedan with tinted windows and white New York State license plates. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 2-year-old found in stolen vehicle in Corona A missing toddler was returned to her mother after the stolen vehicle she was taken in was found in Corona, police said. The 2-year-old child, Gabriella, was found at 47-14 98th St., with no injuries, in a blue Hyundai rental car that was taken by a thief around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 7, according to authorities. The child’s mother was said to have left the car running with the child in it as she quickly went inside a food store on 108th Street and 49th Avenue to buy diapers, according to published reports. As she came back out of the store, her car and Gabriella were gone. Police then went on a citywide search for the vehicle and the thief, believing the suspect deserted the car once he realized the toddler was inside of it, the Daily News said. Around 2:00 a.m. officers found the car, which appeared to have shattered windows, but Gabriella was unharmed, cops said. The mother is not facing any charges at this point in the case, officials said. As of press time, the investigation and the search for the car thief were ongoing. 112th Precinct Forest Hills and Rego Park Man wanted for punching R train rider in Rego Park A straphanger punched a man without saying a word as an R train stopped at a station in Rego Park last month, police said. The minor blaze started at about 10:50 a.m. on Sept. 4 in one of the air conditioning units of P.S. 63, fire officials said. NYPD officer arrested for assault after allegedly refusing to pay Jamaica tire shop A city cop was busted for slugging a Jamaica tire shop employee after the two got into a dispute over $35 he owed the business, officials said. On Aug. 31 at about 12:15 p.m., the NYPD officer, 37-year-old Jason Whyte, went to the shop, Rockaway Tire Center, on Rockaway Boulevard, where he was getting some work done on his tire rim, according to the criminal complaint. There, Whyte encountered the employee, who had worked on the rim. When the employee told Whyte he owed $35, Whyte allegedly refused to pay and started yelling and cursing at him in front of the shop. Whyte then punched him in the jaw and left with the tire rim without handing over the money, court records said. The employee was treated at a local hospital, where he had to have two metal plates permanently placed into his jaw and several stitches. Whyte was arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on Sept. 5 on charges of assault, petit larceny and theft of services, the complaint said. He was released on his own recognizance.
