NYPD searching for burglar
who took prescription
pads and cash from
Flushing medical facility
Police from the 109th Precinct in
Flushing are looking for a man who
broke into a Roosevelt Avenue medical
offi ce last week and made off with prescription
pads and cash.
Sometime between midnight and 1:30
a.m. on July 20, the suspect allegedly used
a metal rod to open a glass patio door
and entered Jing Gastroenterology on
Roosevelt Avenue.
Th e man was captured on surveillance
video as he walked through the suite. He
grabbed prescription pads, which are
used by doctors for the distribution of
medication, and $1,575 in cash before
fl eeing in an unknown direction.
According to police, the man was last
seen wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts
and dark-colored gloves.
No arrests have been made and the
investigation is ongoing.

robbed Jamaica gas station
after punching out worker
Police are looking for a man who
punched out a gas station attendant
before taking off with a box full of cash
in Jamaica last month.
Th e suspect is seen on video surveillance
entering the Sunoco gas station at
166-06 Hillside
Ave. just before
midnight on
Friday, June 25.
The man
appr o a c h e d
a 40-year-old
employee and
began punching
him in the
face repeatedly
before taking
a cigar box
that contained
approximately
$1,000, police
said.
The suspect
then allegedly
fl ed on foot
w e s t b o u n d
on Hillside
Avenue.
Th e suspect is
described as a
man wearing a black durag, a black shirt,
black sweatpants, white socks, black slippers
and a red fanny pack around his
torso, according to police.

Cops search for gunman
who fi red off shots in
Jamaica Estates
Police from the 107th Precinct in Fresh
Meadows are looking for a man who fi red
a weapon early in the morning of Sunday,
July 25, in Jamaica Estates.
A man near the intersection of Hillside
Avenue and Midland Parkway fi red an
unknown number of shots from a handgun
just aft er 4 a.m., police said. No injuries
were reported as a result of the shooting.
Th e suspect fl ed in an unknown direction.
He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved
yellow shirt, blue jeans, a dark baseball
cap and a black backpack.
No arrests have been made. Th e investigation
is ongoing.
