As the district manager, Gulluscio represents everyone in the Rego Park and Forest Hills area. Gullusci also plays his role as the Democratic leader of District 26 by roaming the borough and helping people register to vote CURRENT ROLE Apart from overseeing the constituents of the Rego Park and Forest Hills area, Gulluscio also has a role as chair of the board in Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Academy. As chair of the board, Gulluscio is involved with the education of the students but is also the director of the annual school show. PERSONAL When not spending time working for the community, Gulluscio spends time with his family. Through his marriage of 40 years, Gulluscio has built a family of two children and fi ve grandchildren. Gulluscio has a passion for working with children. In the past, Gulluscio was a teacher in Ozone Park. Gulluscio’s teaching career lasted for 15 years. INSPIRATIONS Gulluscio fi nds inspiration in the very community that he works for. Seeing the people and the community as a whole benefi t from the work he does makes Gulluscio strive to help out the citizens of his community. CHALLENGES The biggest challenges Gulluscio fi nds in his line of work are the challenges of working in a complicated system. Another challenge could be found in the huge workload while dealing with a convoluted government system. FAVORITE MEMORIES Gulluscio best moments are defi ned in the victories he earns in his line of work. Whether he fi nds the victory in winning in a fi ght against City Hall or in the smile of a child excited to learn about theater, these victories are what push Gulluscio to work to the best of his abilities.
