The Shops at Atlas Park announced on May 1 that it will be opening a Footlocker, Payless ShoeSource, Auntie Anne’s, ULTA Beauty and Crazy 8, a children’s clothing and accessories store. The shopping center, located at 8000 Cooper Ave. and owned by Macerich, is also in the process of planning its Summer on the Green event series, which features familyfriendly programs, such as movies and concerts. Last summer, Atlas Park opened the Center Green, a 10,000-square-foot area especially designed for events, as part of an overall redesign for the mall. After shoppers said the center’s selection of stores was subpar, Macerich, with the hopes of a new and improved retail experience, also brought in new retail last year, including Charlotte Russe and Forever 21.
