Law enforcement sources said the robbery took place at 1:20 p.m. on April 23 inside a home in the vicinity of Farmers Boulevard and 116th Avenue in St. Albans. According to authorities, the perpetrators entered the home and confronted two men, one who is 59 and the other is 62. Sources familiar with the investigation said one of the robbers asked, “Where is the money?” As the 59-year-old man attempted to fl ee, police said, one of the suspects attacked him with a cleaver, slashing his face and hands. EMS later transported the victim to Montefi ore Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Th e 62-year-old man was able to fl ee the scene, and the suspects ran out of the location shortly thereaft er, authorities noted. Police described the cleaver-carrying crook as a black man between 30 and 40 years of age, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds who was last seen wearing a T-shirt and jeans. One of his cohorts was described by the NYPD as a white or Hispanic man standing 5 foot 10 inches tall with salt and pepper hair who was seen wearing a white or gray T-shirt and carrying black fi rearm. Police said the third suspect is a black man between 30 and 40 years of age, standing 5 foot 8 inches or 5 foot 9 inches tall, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds and last observed wearing black sunglasses and a black leather baseball hat. He was also heard speaking with a West Indian accent. Andrey Desmond, 23, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and harassment, cops said Sunday. He is accused of approaching and sucker punching a 75-year-old victim waiting for the Q48 bus in front of 135-27 Roosevelt Ave. on Monday, April 17 at 4:50 a.m. Aft er attacking the man, law enforcement sources said, the assailant fl ed the scene on foot westbound along Roosevelt Avenue. Th e incident was reported to the 109th Precinct. According to police sources, the 18-month-old girl was with a babysitter at her home on 102nd Street near 34th Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. on May 1, where the babysitter’s sons had been watching a friend’s pit bull in the backyard. Th e dog had a bone in its mouth and when the victim went to grab for the bone, the dog lunged and bit her in the face, causing many lacerations. EMS rushed the victim to Elmhurst Hospital where she underwent surgery; she is listed in critical but stable condition. Sources say that she is likely to survive her injuries. Members of the NYPD’s Emergency Services Unit arrived removed the dog from the location and gave it to Animal Care and Control. No arrests or summons have been made in relation to the incident. Th e investigation is ongoing. 115th Precinct Corona, East Elmhurst, Jackson Heights Teen girls wanted for 7 train assault Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two teenage girls who assaulted a young woman at a 7 train station in Jackson Heights. At around 2:45 on Friday, April 21, a 16-year-old female was punched and kicked by two unknown females inside the 82nd Street stop following a dispute on board the 7 train. Following the attack, the suspects fl ed the station in an unknown direction. Th e victim suff ered lacerations to the face, arms and knees. She was transported to Elmhurst General Hospital in fair condition. According to police sources, the victim did not know who the assailants were. Th e suspects are described as Hispanic females between the ages of 17 and 18 years old, standing between 5 feet, 2 inches and 5 feet, 3 inches tall. Th e fi rst suspect has red hair and was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans. Th e second suspect was carrying a black shoulder bag and was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweater, blue jeans and black sneakers.
