Man punches MTA employee
in Queens Plaza subway
station and chases him
with a golf club: NYPD
Cops are searching for the man who
punched an MTA employee in the face
and chased him with a golf club inside of
the Queens Plaza subway station.
Authorities say that the suspect, an
unidentifi ed man, approached the MTA
employee in the mezzanine area of the
station around 2 p.m. on April 7. Th e man
punched the employee in the face before
chasing him with a golf club, cops said.
Th e employee managed to escape from
the suspect, who fl ed the station on a
southbound M train with two other men,
according to authorities.
Th e employee was transferred to
Mount Sinai Hospital with a broken jaw
and swollen face, according to an MTA
spokesperson.
Cops released surveillance video of the
suspect, who can be seen holding the golf
club inside of the subway station.
“Any assault of an MTA worker is always
reprehensible. Assaulting a transit worker
doing their part to keep New Yorkers safe
in the middle of a pandemic is despicable,”
NYCT Interim President Sarah Feinberg
said. “We’re working with the NYPD as it
searches for these perpetrators and will do
everything we can to support prosecution
to the fullest extent of the law.”

Man dies after stabbing
in Jamaica: NYPD
A 41-year-old man died aft er being
stabbed multiple times in Jamaica on
Monday, April 13, according to the
NYPD.
Around 10:45 a.m. on April 13,
police responded to a 911 call concerning
an unconscious man around
106-09 Guy R. Brewer Blvd., according
to the authorities. Police arrived to fi nd
a 41-year-old man with multiple stab
wounds to his torso, cops say.
Th e man was taken to Jamaica
Hospital by EMS personnel, where he
was pronounced dead.
Th e identity of the man is being
withheld until the family is notifi ed.
No arrests have been made in relation
to the stabbing. Th e medical
examiner will determine the cause of
death.

Mystery surrounds death of
woman found in courtyard at
Jamaica healthcare institute
Police are investigating the death of a
woman who was found in a courtyard at
a Jamaica healthcare school.
According to police, at 12:04 a.m. on
April 13, offi cers responded to a 911 call
regarding an unconscious woman in
the courtyard of the New York Institute
of Healthcare Careers, located at 89-44
162nd St. Upon their arrival, cops found
a woman, who has yet to be identifi
ed, unconscious and unresponsive on a
bench in the courtyard.
EMS responded to the location and
pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police noted that the victim did not have
any obvious signs of trauma.
Th e Medical Examiner will determine
the cause of death. Th e investigation is
ongoing.
