In both incidents, the suspect hit a store employee in the head with a gun, demanded money, then fled with the cash. According to police, he first struck a bodega located at 114-01 Colfax Street, around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday March 9. A few days later, on March a 11, he robbed a deli at 205-19 Hollis Avenue at about 7:45 p.m. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s and 5’8” tall. Anyone with information in regards to either of the robberies is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. According to police, on Wednesday, February 27, at approximately 2 p.m., the suspect entered the bank located at 241-42 South Conduit Avenue, approached the teller window and passed a demand note. He then took the demand note back and fled. The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, 160 to 180 pounds and was wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt with a black scarf tucked inside around the neck. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Brainy Gomez was last seen leaving 109 East 16th Street that day. In each incident, the suspects gained entry into the business, displayed firearms and demanded money, according to police. On March 1 and March 8 they stole cash from two Brooklyn businesses: Caribbean Air Mail located at 7915 Flatlands Avenue, and Faith Variety Store, located at 1586 Rockaway Parkway. They also robbed a Caribbean Air Mail in Queens, at 221-15 Linden Boulevard on March 6. On Friday, March 15, the suspects hit another business in the borough, Caribbean Vision, located at 218-83 Hempstead Avenue, but fled without taking anything. There were no reported injuries in any of these incidents. Both suspects are described as black males in their 20s. CULLEN [email protected] Police officer Russell Graziano was honored as the 106th Precinct Community Council cop of the month for a Saturday, February 16 arrest of five people. Graziano, a plainclothes officer, noticed four suspects in a car on Rockaway Boulevard. Deputy Inspector Thomas Pascale said Graziano then approached the car and investigated. Inside the car were two women and three men who had a combined 59 prior arrests. Graziano also recovered a slew of drugs, a gravity knife and a loaded .45-caliber handgun, Pascale said.
