on Kissena Blvd. in Flushing

AdvantageCare Physicians
(ACPNY), one of the largest primary
and specialty care practices
in New York City, announced on
Monday, Feb. 23, the opening of
its new Flushing Annex Medical
Offi ce.
Th e new medical offi ce, located
at 41-61 Kissena Blvd., will
house gastroenterology (GI) consultative
and endoscopic procedures
in Flushing, one of New
York City’s most diverse neighborhoods.
As part of ACPNY’s commitment
to population and community
health, doctors and clinical
staff will perform colonoscopy
and upper endoscopy procedures
at the new offi ce, with a focus on
prevention, early detection and
treatment of gastrointestinal cancers
and other digestive diseases
and disorders.
“Our new facility is designed
to put patients at ease, serving
as a beacon of excellence for GI
care in the community,” said Dr.

Th e center features endoscopy
units and off ers patients convenient
access to gastroenterology
care and procedures within the
safety of a dedicated offi ce. Th e
experience aims to off er patients
a personal offi ce visit that is effi -

The state-of-the-art,
5,300-square-foot offi ce includes:
• Two procedure rooms, equipped
with the latest endoscopy testing
and treatment technology
• Seven-bed post-anesthesia care
unit
• An endoscope reprocessing
room, equipped with the
latest technology in scope
reprocessing, infection control
and patient safety
• Large waiting area that accommodates
social distancing

CityMD opens new urgent
care center in Sunnyside

CityMD, the leading urgent
care provider in the New York
metropolitan area, announced
the opening of a new location
in Sunnyside, its 14th site in
Queens.
Th e facility opened its doors
to the public Monday, March 1,
at 47-16 Greenpoint Ave., off ering
a range of medical services
including COVID-19 testing.
“We understand Queens has
been greatly aff ected by COVID-
19,” said CityMD NY Region
Chief Operating Offi cer Vincent
Campasano, MD. “With this
new Sunnyside walk-in urgent
care, we look forward to giving
residents the caring emergency
physicians and clinical teams
they need to help fi ght the pandemic
and treat a large range of
other health care needs. And to
help ensure easy access to everyone
in the community, the clinic’s
site is conveniently located
right off Queens Boulevard and
the 46th Street train station.”
With urgent care locations
throughout New York and New
Jersey, CityMD continues to
off er three forms of COVID-
19 testing at all locations: rapid,
PCR (nasal swab) and serum
antibody IgG (blood test). Th e
Sunnyside location also off ers a
“virtual line” for patients in need
of COVID-19 testing. Th is new
process aims to provide a more
convenient experience by eliminating
the need to wait in a physical
line outside of CityMD locations.
Patients of all ages visit
CityMD for many reasons,
including treatment for upper
respiratory infections, colds and
fl u, asthma, allergies, minor lacerations,

diagnose and treat pink eye,
croup, minor orthopedic injuries

emergency medical needs of
families in Sunnyside and nearby
communities with convenient
weekday and weekend hours,
as well as self-check-in kiosks.
Th e new location also has onsite
state-of-the-art technology,
which includes X-ray and EKG
machinery.

clinical assistants helps patients
coordinate their follow-up care,
ranging from referrals to preapprovals
and other appointments.
