Shooter executes man in
vehicle parked on St. Albans
street in broad daylight: NYPD
Cops are looking for the gunman who
executed a man in broad daylight on a St.
Albans street on a snowy Sunday aft ernoon,
police reported.
Th e deadly shooting happened at about
2:50 p.m. on Feb. 7 in front of the Golden
Krust shop located at 200-08 Linden Blvd.
According to law enforcement sources,
the shooter approached 37-year-old
Tyrone Jones, of Brinkerhoff Avenue in
St. Albans, as he sat inside a Jeep Grand
Cherokee SUV with Florida plates.
Authorities said the killer fi red multiple
shots, striking Jones numerous times
in the head before fl eeing.
Offi cers from the 113th Precinct and
EMS units responded to the scene. Jones
was pronounced dead at the location.
Numerous spent shell casings were
found on the snowy ground. Nearby residents
expressed shock over the shooting.
“I was coming out of the hair supply
store. I heard numerous pops,” said
Christina Young. “Th e paramedics were
working on him. He was lifeless.”
“Th e gun violence around here is absolutely
senseless,” added another resident,
Travis King.
At this early point in the ongoing investigation,
police did not have a further
description of the gunman or a possible
motive for the murder.

Elmhurst street corner
Cops are looking for a group of men
who attacked and robbed a man in
Elmhurst on New Year’s Day.
Authorities say that at 11:31 p.m. on Jan.
1, a 40-year-old man was riding his e-bike
near the corner of Roosevelt Avenue and
74th Street when he was approached by
fi ve unknown men. Th e suspects began to
punch and kick the man and robbed him
of his belongings.
Th e suspects snatched the e-bike, valued
at $1,200, and the victim’s iPhone XS,
valued at $700. One of the suspects fl ed on
the e-bike while the rest fl ed on foot. Th e
victim was treated at the scene for pain
and swelling to his face.
Th e NYPD released photos of two of
the suspects taken from nearby surveillance
footage.

Disturbing video shows
Woodhaven home invaders as
they held man at gunpoint
Th e NYPD released startling video on
the morning of Saturday, Feb. 6, from
inside a Woodhaven home invaded by
two armed suspects who terrorized family
members at gunpoint on Friday.
Th e brief fi lm shows the suspects forcing
a man to the fl oor at gunpoint, then
restraining him inside the residence on
89th Street near 85th Road in Woodhaven
at about 2:55 a.m. on Feb. 5.
Six people were inside the residence at
the time of the home invasion, including
two children: a 10-year-old girl and
a 9-year-old boy. Cops said the two gunmen
confronted the victims aft er entering
the home through a basement window.
Aft er demanding cash and jewelry, law
enforcement sources reported, the two
suspects proceeded to tie up the adult victims:
an 18-year-old man, a 34-year-old
man, a 30-year-old man and a 28-yearold
woman.
Th e video shows one of the gunmen,
while brandishing a silver handgun,
ordering a male victim to lie face down
on the living room fl oor and place his
hands behind his back.
Seconds later, the video cuts to show the
victim with his wrists bound with what
appeared to be cable ties. A second gunman
then appears, carrying a black handgun,
and says something to the restrained man.
Police said the suspects managed only
to retrieve a safe key from the home
before fl eeing in an unknown direction.
Offi cers from the 102nd Precinct
responded to the incident. No serious
injuries were reported.
Cops described the fi rst suspect in the
video as a man with a dark complexion
between 20 and 30 years of age, standing
6 feet tall and wearing a black hooded
sweatshirt with the Champion logo on the
front, a black du-rag, a black mask, dark
sweatpants and white sneakers.
Th e other perpetrator, police said, was
a man with a light complexion between
20 and 30 years of age, standing 5 feet, 7
inches tall with a thin build. He was last
seen wearing a black ski mask, a black
bubble jacket over a burgundy hooded
sweatshirt and burgundy sweatpants.
