At around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, a 27-year-old individual was exiting the Jamaica Center Parsons Boulevard/ Archer Avenue subway station. As he was leaving, an unidentified man got into an argument with the individual about his clothes and called him a ‘f-- -ot,’ according to police. Following the argument, the suspect punched the victim in the face and fled in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to Jamaica Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and later released. The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 28 and 33 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing between 260-280 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweater, burgundy jacket, blue pants and a black do-rag. CREEP GROPED GIRL IN OZONE PARK Police released security camera video on Wednesday night of a man wanted for molesting a 17-year-old girl as she walked through Ozone Park last month. Law enforcement sources said the attack occurred at 8:45 a.m. on the morning of Jan. 18 in the vicinity of 77th Street and Pitkin Avenue. According to authorities, the teenage victim was walking on 77th Street when the perpetrator — described as a black male in his 20s with a beard and wearing glasses — walked up alongside her and engaged her in a conversation. Police said he followed her to the intersection of 77th Street and Pitkin Avenue, where he grabbed her buttocks and then fled in an unknown direction. The incident was reported to the 106th Precinct. A security video shows the suspect entering a grocery store about 10 minutes before the attack. An investigation by the NYPD Queens Special Victims Squad is ongoing. TEENAGER MISSING FOR MORE THAN A WEEK The family of a 15-year-old Fresh Meadows boy who was last seen at home on Monday, Jan. 30, is asking for the public’s help in finding him and bringing him back safe and sound. Skye Azhar, a student at the Veritas Academy in the Flushing High School campus, was last seen at around 8 p.m. on Jan. 30 getting ready for bed at the family home on Utopia Parkway, according to his mother, Kathryn Azhar. He was gone by the time she woke up the next morning, and no one seems to know where he has gone. “It’s a mystery to us,” said Kathryn Azhar. Police said the teenager has no prior history of medical or mental health issues. Kathryn reported her son’s disappearance to the 107th Precinct, where a missing person’s report was filed, as well as to the office of Assemblywoman Nily Rozic. She also made several appeals on her Facebook page for assistance in locating her son. Skye Azhar stands 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds with a thin build, a light complexion and brown eyes and hair. According to police, he may have a mustache and was last seen wearing a black windbreaker, beige sweatpants, a white hooded sweatshirt and gray Nike sneakers. The 107th Precinct Detective Squad is investigating the case. Anyone with information regarding Skye’s whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the 107th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-969-6844. HIT-AND-RUN DRIVER BUSTED FOR DEADLY CRASH An alleged hit-and-run driver involved in a deadly crash on the Grand Central Parkway this past weekend tried to flee on foot, but couldn’t hide from the law, police said. On Saturday, Feb. 4, at 4:20 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision on the eastbound Grand Central Parkway near 49th Avenue in Corona. Upon arrival, they found Hassan Jones, 28, unconscious and unresponsive and with severe body trauma. EMS responded to the location and pronounced Jones dead at the scene. An investigation conducted by the NYPD’s Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad found that Jones had been a passenger in a black Infiniti sedan that was involved in a minor car accident with a gray Nissan Murano while traveling eastbound on Grand Central Parkway. According to police, the drivers and Jones got out of their cars and Jones was assaulted, causing him to fall into the road. The drivers fled the scene following the assault. While Jones was lying in the road, he was struck by a white Acura sedan. The sedan was operated by Starlyn-Antonio Colon Burgos, 19, who abandoned his car at the scene and took off on foot. Colon-Burgos was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, resulting in death. The other drivers involved in the crash have not been located.
