Hosted by its founder, local poet Charles “Smooth” Williams (pictured standing, fifth from the left), the Open Mic featured over a dozen talented poets, writers, musicians, singers, comedians and orators, who were all enthusiastically received. The East Elmhurst Library’s Open Mic is held every month with the next one scheduled for February 26th. Performers are asked to come prepared with five minutes of material. All levels are welcome.
