Scot opens the show, performing his interpretations of the early hits. It is 60 minutes of all Elvis, the hair, the clothes and of course the voice! JAN. 31 – MARCH 30 Beginning January 31, Flushing Town Hall (FTH) will kick off Lunar New Year 2014: The Year of the Horse. Godfrey is one of the hottest comedians on the circuit, performing all over the country and hitting all the major festivals. Tickets are $40 and are available now. Following an introduction to Korean traditional crafts, participants will color and decorate the Bong San T’al Ch’um mask and create their own colorful character. Admission is $10 for members and $8 for students (materials included) FRIDAY, FEB. 8 Flushing Town Hall is holding a Gamin-Wind & Stone event at 8 p.m. Gamin is one of the most celebrated piri, taepyeongso (Korean traditional oboe family) and saengwhang (ancient wind-blow instrument) players today. Wind & Stone is a World Music project by Gamin and Satoshi Takeishi (drummer, percussionist, and arranger) presenting both traditional and contemporary sounds of Korean music. Admission is $15 for members and $10 for students. Write your wishes for the New Year on Hanji and create a one-of-a-kind art piece to take home. Admission is $10 for members and $8 for students (materials included). On Sunday, February 9 at 3 p.m., Queens Symphony Orchestra performs “The Frog Prince & Peter and the Wolf” at LeFrak Concert Hall as part of its Family Concerts series. SUNDAY, FEB. 20 Celebrate Black History Month and join the Queens Botanical Garden at its George Washington Carver Workshop at 1:30 p.m. Dr. George Washington Carver made signifi cant contributions in the fi eld of botany. Learn how plants played an important role in his early life and about his later achievements in botany, agriculture, botanical illustration, industrial engineering and medicine.
