Crook holds knife to
woman’s throat in
South Richmond Hill
attempted robbery:
Police are looking for a man who attempted to
rob a woman at knifepoint in South Richmond Hill
earlier this month.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, around 8:40 a.m., a 64-year-old
woman was walking in front of 101-62 120th St., when
an unidentifi ed man approached her from behind, cops
said.
The man wrapped his left arm around the woman’s
neck and held a knife to her throat, demanding she turn
over her money, according to the police.
The woman attempted to fi ght the attacker off and
he eventually fl ed, without taking any property, southbound
on 120th Street.
The woman was uninjured during the attempted
robbery.
Police describe the suspect as being between 20 and
35 years old, standing around 5 feet 5 inches tall and
weighing approximately 150 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, dark
colored pants, white sneakers, a green hat and a dark
colored mask.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is
ongoing.

Man refuses to wear
mask, slashes IHOP
employee in
Jamaica Hills
A maskless man slashed an employee of a Jamaica
Hills IHOP aft er being asked to don a face covering
inside the restaurant on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
On Nov. 17, around 2:50 p.m., an unidentifi ed man
was asked by an employee to wear a mask while inside
the restaurant, located at 170-19 Hillside Ave.,
according to the NYPD. The man refused and was
told to leave the eatery.
The man then rushed further into the restaurant
with a knife and attempted to stab one of the employees,
cops said. He then swung the knife and cut a
40-year-old female IHOP employee on her left arm,
according to the police.
The man then ran off westbound on Hillside Avenue.
The 40-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital,
where she was given seven stitches for the wound.
Police describe the man as being in his 20s. He
was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater, gray
sweatpants and black and red sneakers.
No arrests have been made and the investigation
is ongoing.
