Beginning Feb. 1, 2016, MLS will oversee the academic and extracurricular programs for middle school students, grades five through eight, at LSFB. It will also begin a new program designed for high school students in grades nine and 10 as well. “We are thrilled to be expanding our ministry into the Bayside community and entering into this partnership with the LSFB family,” said Randal C. Gast, MLS executive director. “We have been so incredibly blessed to see growth at our Maspeth campus, and look forward to building a new and vibrant ministry in Bayside.” Current LSFB students in grades five through eight will experience a seamless integration into the Martin Luther School – Bayside (MLSB) family beginning in February, with an expansion of curriculum and activities scheduled to begin at the start of the next school year in September, 2016, including programming for high school students in grades nine through 12. “It’s a collaboration between the Martin Luther School and the Lutheran School of Flushing & Bayside.
