MIDDLE VILLAGE MAN
KEPT FRIEND TIED UP FOR
2 WEEKS
A Middle Village man who allegedly
kept his male companion tied to his
bed and injected him with drugs for
nearly two weeks is now behind bars,
prosecutors announced.
Thomas Sellers, 41, allegedly told the
104th Precinct Detective Squad that
he did it to detoxify his friend, whom
he claimed was addicted to heroin, as
noted in the criminal complaint.
Law enforcement sources said
the trouble began at 3 p.m. on Oct.
25, when the victim arrived at Sellers’
home on Admiral Avenue near
65th Street. Upon arriving, Sellers
allegedly off ered to help the victim
detox from heroin addiction, and the
victim agreed.
Authorities said that Sellers subsequently
tied the man to the bed and
injected his arms and buttocks with
various substances. Though the victim
made repeated requests to be let go,
prosecutors noted, Sellers allegedly
refused to comply and kept restraining
and drugging the man over the
next two weeks.
On Nov. 5, the criminal complaint
noted, the victim was able to retrieve
his cellphone and contact his sister,
who picked him up and contacted
police.
During questioning, the complaint
noted, Sellers said that he allegedly
injected into his friend Vitamin B12
and steroids in order to keep his body
in shape.
Sellers was charged on Nov. 11
with unlawful imprisonment and
attempted unauthorized practice,
both misdemeanor charges. Court
records indicated that he was
ordered held on $10,000 cash or
$75,000 bond, and is due back in
court on Nov. 17.

ARMED CROOK ROBBED
SENIOR IN APT. BUILDING
Police are looking for a man who
is connected to an armed robbery in
the lobby of a Rego Park apartment
building.
According to police, at 11:45 a.m.
on Nov. 13, an unknown armed man
approached an elderly woman in the
lobby of 64-34 99th St. and robbed her.
The suspect is described as a white
male. The 112th Precinct posted a
wanted fl ier about the incident on its
Twitter page.
