OBITUARIES
MARIA I. SOLDANO died Thursday, Sept. 9, and the
age of 90. She was the beloved sister of Rosa Avolio, loving
aunt of Marisa and Steve and Fernanda, and cherished
great-aunt of Nicole, Steven, and Gina. Funeral services
were held at Papavero Funeral Home on Monday, Sept.
13, followed by a private cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village. Interment of cremains will follow
at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction of
Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ANA L. LOPEZ died Thursday, Sept. 9, at the age of 93.
She was the beloved mother of Ana Alvarez-Filatova and
the late Felipe Alvarez and Antonio Lopez and the loving
grandmother of Daniel, Kelly, Luca, and Marco. Private
cremation was held at Fresh Pond Crematory on Tuesday,
Sept. 14, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
Maspeth.

MICHAEL P. SKEAHAN died Wednesday, Sept. 8, at
the age of 70. He was the beloved father of Samantha Aramburu
and Michael J. Skeahan, father-in-law of Cody
and Linda, cherished grandfather of Olivia, Christopher,
and Emma, loving father of Margaret and the late Michael
T. Skeahan, and dear brother of Pat Spiers and Dennis
Skeahan. He is also survived by many loving cousins
and friends. He was a master electrical contractor and
member of IBEW Local Union 3, as well as an avid Harley
Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast and photographer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
Alzheimer’s Association. Mass of Christian Burial was
offered at St. Adalbert’s Church on Monday, Sept. 13,
followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside,
under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

JOSEPH J. RABITO died Sunday, Sept. 5, at the age of
63. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Rabito, loving
father of Salvatore Anthony Rabito, devoted son of the
late Mildred and Anthony Rabito, dear brother of Anna
Rabito, Frank Rabito and Michelle and family, James
Rabito, and the late Anthony Rabito, and the cherished
nephew of Phyllis Petrowski and John Abate. He is also
survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends. Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Adalbert’s
Church on Friday, Sept. 10, followed by interment
at Lutheran All-Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

of 83. She was the beloved wife of the late Cesidio M.
Vitti, loving mother of Michael Vitti, Denise Vitti, Sandra
Colangelo and Patrizia DeBari and mother-in-law of
Francessa Vitti, Roberto Colangelo and Vito DeBari, and
cherished grandmother of Gabriella, Alessando, Elena,
Isabella, Michael and Marco. Mass of Christian Burial
will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, at St.
Adalbert’s Church, followed by entombment at St. John
Cemetery Christ the Redeemer Mausoleum, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.
