OBITUARIES
SOPHIE SERAFIN died Sunday, Sept. 6, at the age of 89. She was the beloved mother of Celina Drapala, Zbygniew Serafin,
Halina Fontaine, and the late Zygmunt Serafin and Elizabeth Serfain, cherished grandmoter fo 12 grandchildren,
great-grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren, and dear sister of Wladyslawa Wilk. She is also survived by many loving
nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Stanislaus Church on Wednesday, Sept. 8, followed
by interment at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, PA, under the diretion of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ANDREA ANN GEROLIMATOS died Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the age of 66. She was the beloved sister of Anthony
Gerolimatos and Dennis Michael Gerolimatos, loving aunt of Christina, Dana, George, Thomas and Alexander, and
dearest cousin of Renee. Funeral services were offered at St. Demetrios G.O. Cathedral on Saturday, Sept. 4, followed by
private cremation at All Souls Crematory, East Elmhurst. Interment of cremains will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery,
Kew Gardens, under the diretion of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

HERMAN VARGAS, JR. died Monday, Aug. 30, at the age of 56. He was the beloved brother of Lorraine Vargas-Solla,
Carlos Vargas and Darlene Vargas-O’Connor, and loving uncle of Curt, Jordan and Lauren. Funeral services were held
at Papavero Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 4, followed by interment at Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn,under the
diretion of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.
