 MAILBOX THIEVES STEAL
 KEY AMID FISHING SPREE
Why go ‘fi shing’ when you can reach
straight into the fi sh tank?
That’s what a pair of suspects have
done amid the Glendale mail fi shing
spree as they are allegedly in possession
of a stolen U.S. Postal Service
 mailbox key, authorities said.
On Aug. 20 at approximately 4:05
a.m., the two suspects attempted to
gain entry into a U.S. Postal mailbox
at 69-36 Myrtle Ave., in front of the
Glendale Post Offi ce using the stolen
key, according to a fl yer released by
 the 104th Precinct on Twitter.
The suspects were not able to gain
entry to the mailbox and no mail was
 stolen, police said.
 Sources familiar with the investigation
added that there is no indication of
how the suspects obtained the key, and
 the investigation is ongoing.
The 104th Precinct recently sent out
an alert to the community that said
there have been 38 reports of mail
theft so far this year. The precinct
continues to release tips online so that
 residents can protect themselves from
 becoming victims of mail crimes.
 Anyone with information regarding
the above suspects is urged to call the
104th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-
 386-2723 or Detective Borough Queens

 DEADLY RIDGEWOOD
 HIT-AND-RUN
Cops continue to seek the ATV driver
involved in a Ridgewood crash last
week that wound up claiming the life
 of a 65-year-old bicyclist.
 Law enforcement sources said the

knocking the man off his bike to the
 ground.
The group of riders then fl ed the
 scene in an unknown direction.
Offi cers from the 104th Precinct and

the collision and found Xelo lying in
the road way, unconscious and unresponsive.
  Paramedics rushed him to
Elmhurst Hospital, where he died on
