OBITUARIES
MARGIT LESSER died Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the
age of 75. She was beloved wife of Siegfried, loving
mother of Christina Schneider and Mark, cherished
mother-in-law of Richard and Michelle, and loving
grandmother of Richard and Krista. Interment at All
Faiths Cemetery to follow. Services were offered by
Werst and Labella Funeral Home.

Joseph Louis
Schrettenbrunner, 76,
of Terre Haute, Indiana, and formerly of
Brooklyn, New York, passed away on
Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Union
Hospital. He was born on January 12,
1945, in New York to Michael and Mary
Schrettenbrunner.
Joe is survived by his wife, Linda
Schrettenbrunner; sons, Michael
Schrettenbrunner and husband, Stephen
Polson, Joseph Schrettenbrunner and
husband Jason Freeman, James
Schrettenbrunner and wife Dawn, and
David Schrettenbrunner; grandchildren, Chance, Tyler, Camden, and
Caris Schrettenbrunner; nieces, Caris Schrettenbrunner, Terri
Schrettenbrunner, and Lori Sprouse; and a nephew, Mike
Schrettenbrunner. He was preceded in death by his parents and a
brother, Michael Schrettenbrunner.
Joe attended school at St. Bridget’s in Brooklyn and East New York
High School. He worked for Pfizer for his entire career, just like his
own father. Joe was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He loved
classic cars, especially Cadillacs, Lincolns, and Corvettes.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 2 at
Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, Terre Haute, Indiana. A Mass of
Christian Burial will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 3 at
Sacred Heart Church, Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11
until the time of services. Joe will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery,
Terre Haute, Indiana. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy
