OBITUARIES
ALFRED ENGESSER died
on Monday, August 12, at the
age of 88. He was the beloved
husband of Barbara Engesser,
loving father of Diane and
Richard Maier, and Cathy and
Robert Sapienza, stepfather of
Cathy and Jim Gavenas, Linda
and Joe Morena and the late
Scott Prevost, and cherished
grandfather of Alyse, Kristen,
Dylan, Christopher and Felicia.
He was a U.S. Army veteran
who served during the Korean
Conf lict. Services were offered
on Wednesday, August 14, at
Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27
Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed
by interment at All Faiths
Cemetery, Middle Village.

JOSEPH F. BAUER died on
Saturday, August 10, at the age of
81. He was the beloved husband
of Eugenia Bauer, loving father
of Robert Bauer and the late
Joseph Bauer, stepfather of
Elizabeth and Freddy, brother of
the late John Bauer and devoted
companion of Smokey. He was
also a cherished grandfather.
Services were of fered on

TRAIAN COLOCA of
Ridgewood died on Saturday,
August 10, at the age of 98. A
native of Nikolinci, Yugoslavia,
he was the husband of the late
Maria Coloca and devoted father
of Maria Turkoanje. He is also
survived by four grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.

ANITA ANNETTE WOLF died
on Saturday, August 10, after a
long battle with cancer. She was
married to Anthony Wolf Jr.,
who predeceased her. She was
the beloved mother of Joanne,
Suzanne and Rosanne, fond
grandmother of Anthony, Reba,
Joyce, Daniel and Jonathan, and
great-grandmother of six. She
lived her life to the fullest, and
nothing would slow her down.
She would say hello to everyone

FOLEY
Bartley Richard Foley, aged 83, a
long time resident of Middle
Village, passed away peacefully on
Saturday, August 10, 2019,
surrounded by his loving
family and devoted wife, Aline.
Mr. Foley proudly served
with the United States
Navy, as a member of the
Seabees. While in Middle
Village, Mr. Foley was a
S
Carpenter with the NYC District Council #157 for over 50 years.
After retirement, Mr. Foley and his wife, Aline, moved to West
Shokan where he joined the American Legion Post #950 of
Phoenicia.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Aline Foley. A
loving father to 3 children Bartley Foley II, Maureen and Patricia,
a beloved grandfather of 7 grandchildren, Heather, Christina,
Jaclyn, William, Anthony, Shannon and Bartley Foley III and a
dedicated great grand father to 6 great grandchildren, Melanie,
Anthony Joshua, Dean Michael, Dylan Marie, Liam and Hunter.
Arrangements are being made by Lasher Funeral Home of
Woodstock, NY.
and his final resting place will be at Rose Hill's Memorial Park,
Putnam Valley.
