OBITUARIES
RUTH CORDASCO died Friday, May 8 at the age of 87.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank P. Cordasco and
loving mother of Dr. Frank A. Cordasco and mother-inlaw
of Monique and cherished grandmother of Mikaela
and Luke. Private funeral services were held Wednesday,
May 13, followed by interment at North Hillsdale Cemetery,
Hillsdale, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
Maspeth.

ANGELINA ACERRA died Friday, May 8 at the age of
96. She was the beloved sister of Clementina Acerra and
is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and
friends. Private funeral services were held Thursday,
May 14 along with a private blessing at Our Lady of Hope
Church, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery,
Maspeth, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
Maspeth.

MARYANN SACCO died Thursday, May 7 at the age of
72. She was the beloved wife of Edward C. Sacco, loving
mother of Edward and Gina Sacco and Richard Sacco and
cherished grandmother of Edward and Aaron. She was the
dearest sister of Robert Czyzak, Richard and Patti Czyzak
and Leo Czyzak and sister-in-law of Loretta Sacco. She was
the dear aunt of Robert, Donna and Gary, Maryann, Kaycee,
Bobby and Cara and Kristen and great-aunt of Bobby and
Geannette, Michelle, Jeremy, Joey, Bobby Jr., Renee, Jessie,
Ryan and Gavin. In lieu of flowers and plants memorial
donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
Private funeral services were held Tuesday, May 12 along
with a private blessing at Holy Cross Church, followed by
interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

SALVATORE J. RIZZO died Tuesday, May 5 at the age
of 93. He was the beloved husband of Ann C. Rizzo, loving
father of Mark Rizzo and father-in-law of Marianne. He
was the cherished grandfather of Amanda, Christopher
and Jessica and dear brother of Angelina LeVay. Mr. Rizzo
was United States Army veteran who served in the Korean
Conflict. Private funeral services were held Wednesday,
May 13, along with a private blessing at Our Lady of Hope
Church, followed by entombment at St. Charles Cemetery
Holy Family Mausoleum, Farmingdale, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

FRANK A. “BIMBO” HORWATH, of Glendale, died Friday,
May 1 at the age of 69. A native of New York, he was the
beloved husband of Nina Horwath and devoted father of
Antonina Acosta. He was the loving son of Helen Csaszar
and Julius Horwath and dear brother of Julius, Elizabeth,
June, Francine and Suzanne. Entombment was in All Faith
Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Werst &
LaBella Funeral Home, Glendale.
