Abicca, Joseph Abicca, Salvatore Abicca and Stefano Abicca, and dear sister of the late John Finocchiaro, Eleanor Sampogna, Anna LaPetri, Josephine Mannino and Joseph Finocchiaro. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Luke’s Church on Thursday, May 6, followed by interment at Lutheran All-Faiths Cemetery, under the direction of Papvero Funeral Home, Maspeth. +++ FRANCES SAPORITO died Tuesday, May 4, at the age of 95. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Saporito, loving mother of Ralph Saporito, Angelina Cospito, Annette Saporito and Frank Saporito, cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and great-grandmother of nine great-grandchildren, and dear sister of Helen Manzie and Cookie Bellucci. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A native of Otterbach, Gottschee, she was the beloved wife of Karl and devoted mother of Gerald (Mary) and Eric. She is also survived by siblings, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A wake as scheduled to be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, at Hess-Miller Funeral Home. He was the loving son of Assunta Vulcano and the late Antonio and dear brother of Rosario and Saverio.
