OBITUARIES
THOMAS MATISHEK, of Glendale, died Monday, April 26,
at the age of 56. He was the loving son of Henry (Deceased) and
Julia Matishek, dear brother of Michael (Ellen), John (Cynthia),
Christopher (Karyn), Marylou, Stephanie (Steven), and James,
cherished cousin of James Glynn and many others, and adored
uncle to John, Stephanie, Connor, Tori, Daniel, Julia, Tim and
Maggie. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Sacred Heart
RC Church, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery,
Farmingdale.

SHIRLEY TORRISI, of Glendale, died Friday, April 30, at the
age of 84. She was the beloved wife of Tommy Torrisi, devoted
mother of Edward Gurenicz and Christopher Gurenicz, loving
grandmother of Joseph and Katherine Gurenicz, and dear sister
of Linda and Silvia. She was a member of the Ridgewood Senior
Center. Cremation was offered at Fresh Pond Crematory under
the direction of Hess-Miller Funeral Home, Middle Village.
