OBITUARIES
PATRICK JOHN FEDERER died
Friday, April 3, at the age of 90. He was
the beloved brother of Ellen Richardson
and the late Victor Federer, Catherine
Monette, Hannah Burke, Julia Lange and
Frances Brown. He was the cherished
uncle of many loving nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great nephews. He was
a United States Air Force veteran and
retired FDNY fi refi ghter. Private cremation
will be held at Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village, followed by interment of
cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery,
Woodside, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

DELANO GUANGCO died Monday,
March 30, at the age of 72. He was the
beloved husband of Remedios Guangco,
loving father of Rowena, Daryl, Roxane
and Christina and cherished grandfather
of Ranee, Daniel, Michaela, Silar, Drake
and Frost. Private cremation held at Fresh
Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral Home.

ERASMUS DESENA died Saturday,
March 21, at the age of 88. He was the
beloved husband of 62 years of Dolores
DeSena and loving father of Rosa Byers,
Philip DeSena, Kim Tedaldi and Thomas
DeSena. He was the cherished grandfather
of Bianca, Sean, Dana, Kim Marie,
Justin, KerriAnn, Phillip, Ray, Sabrina,
Ali and Iman and great-grandfather of
10 great-grandchildren. He was a United
States Army veteran who served during
the Korean Confl ict, a retired FDNY
fi refi ghter of Ladder 154 and a chief engineer
of Local Union 94. Private funeral
services were held at Our Lady of Hope
Church on Thursday, March 26, followed
by entombment at St. John Cemetery
Christ the Redeemer Mausoleum, Middle
Village, under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

Kuchmeister died Wednesday, April
1 at the age of 96. She was the beloved
wife of the late Fred J. Kuchmeister and
loving mother of Gary Kuchmeister,
Glen Kuchmeister and Gail Kuchmeister
and mother-in-law of Linda. She was the
cherished grandmother of Glen Jr. and
great-grandmother of Alessia. Graveside
services were held April 9 at Mount
St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral Home.

PHILLIP A. MEDAGLIA died Sunday,
March 29, at the age of 70. He was the
beloved husband and best friend of 50
years of Patricia Medaglia (nee Misiano)
and loving father of Frank G. Medaglia
and Teresa A. Obenski (Robert). He was
the cherished grandfather of Tiff any,
Nathaniel, Jack, Samuel and Faith, dear
brother of Frank A. Medaglia (Elizabeth)
and Joseph M. Medaglia, and uncle of
Anna Paparella (nee Cusamano). He is
also survived by many loving cousins,
nieces and nephews. Private cremation
was held Saturday, April 4, at Fresh
Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under
the direction of Papavero Funeral Home,
Maspeth.

grandmother of Christopher, John,
Anthony, Nicole and Lauren and dear
sister of Giuseppe Scandariato and his
wife Sara. She is also survived by many
loving nieces, nephews, cousins and

John Cemetery Ave Maria Garden Mausoleum,

died Tuesday, March 31, at the
age of 66. A native of San Turce, Puerto
Rico, he was the beloved husband of
Linda Rodriguez Hernandez and devoted
father of Tamika Hernandez and
Erika Hernandez. He is also survived
by his grandchildren. Services were
