Ridgewood: NYPD
The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating
the fatal collision that left a pedestrian dead in
Ridgewood Saturday night.
Police responded to a call regarding a collision in
the vicinity of Summerfi eld Street and Myrtle Avenue
around 6:30 p.m. on March 14. Upon arriving at the
scene, offi cers preliminarily determined that a 28-
year-old man was driving his motorcycle eastbound
on Myrtle Avenue.
When he was near 60-29 Myrtle Ave., he struck a
32 year-old female pedestrian who was crossing the
street heading northbound, according to authorities.
EMS arrived at the scene and transported the victim
to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she was
pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity is being
withheld pending family notifi cation.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is
ongoing by the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad.

Group beats down two
people in Sunnyside and
Woodside: NYPD
The NYPD is looking for several people wanted in connection
with two robberies in Sunnyside and Woodside
earlier this month.
On Saturday, March 7, around 1:20 a.m., in front of 41-
06 50th St. in Sunnyside, fi ve individuals beat down a
16-year-old boy without provocation, according to police.
The boy dropped a bag a food, one of the fi ve individuals
picked it up, and the fi ve suspects fl ed the scene southbound
on 50th Street.
Later in the hour, around 1:50 a.m., the fi ve individuals
punched, kicked and knocked down a 51-year-old man in
the vicinity of 71st Street and 41st Avenue in Woodside,
according to the NYPD. They fl ed southbound on 71st
Street aft er taking the man’s cell phone.
The 51-year-old was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/
Elmhurst in stable condition.
All fi ve individuals are described as being between
16 and 20 years old.
