VITO SAMPOGNA died Thursday, March 5, at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of 67 years of the late Eleanor Sampogna, the loving
father of Joseph Sampogna and the late Vito Sampogna, the cherished grandfather of Kristen, Joseph Jr. and Kimberly and the great-grandfather
of Troy, James, Ann Marie, Matthew, Alex and Joey. He was the dear brother of Phyllis Romano and is survived by many loving nieces and
nephews. He was a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean Confl ict. In lieu of fl owers, memorial donations may be made
to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial was off ered at Our Lady of Hope Church, Monday, March 9, followed by
interment at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

DONALD V. LUEDERS died Friday, March 6, at the age of 87. He was the beloved brother of Daria McCormick and the late Clarence Lueders
and brother-in-law of Arthur, the loving uncle of Christine and Karen and cherished great-uncle of Alexa, Nicholas and Ava. Lueders was a
United States Navy veteran who served during the Korean Confl ict. A Mass of Christian Burial was off ered at St. Adalbert’s Church, Wednesday,
March 11, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave.,
Maspeth.

and brother-in-law of Dean and Cindy, and the cherished uncle of Conor, Danny, Madeline, Andrew, Jack, Caitlin, Kieran and Liam. A Mass of

son Kevin, her brother Vincent, her sisters JoEllen and Kathy and sister-in-law Beth. She is also survived by her niece Madeline and nephews
Mark, Michael and Mac. Visitation was held Thursday, March 5 and funeral services were held Friday, March 6, at St. Pancras R.C. Church,
Glendale.
